Investoguide for Teens is a free educational website ​created by Juan Pablo Lopez Rojas in 2018. The website was created to teach teenagers and beginners how to invest successfully in the stock market, and thus hopefully initiate and facilitate their journey as soon to be investors. To accomplish this goal, a short guide to investing — which includes a glossary — was created. Although the website is targeted mostly towards teenagers, anyone interested in starting to invest in the stock market is welcome. So, to any adult reading this right now, don't exit the website just yet!

The Creator
Juan Pablo Lopez Rojas
Born in Mexico City, Juan Pablo was a 15 year old living in Switzerland when he created this website. Juan Pablo left Mexico at the age of 4 to begin his life as an expatriate child. Moving to 4 different countries (Portugal, France, Brazil, and Switzerland) over the last 11 years has given Juan Pablo the precious opportunity to learn and speak 4 languages fluently. At the time of creation of this website, he was a Year 11 student (10th grader) at the International School of Lausanne.

As an MYP 5 student (completing his final year of the MYP programme), he was required to undertake the Personal Project. The Personal Project is a culminating nine month MYP project where students are given the opportunity to utilize and demonstrate the skills that they have learned on a personal interest. For Juan Pablo, economics, business, and finance have always been subjects of interest. When thinking about what topic his personal project could be about, he remembered one of his best friends in Brazil: Martin Hoberman. His friend Martin used to invest (with the help of his father) in companies, which sparked an idea. Almost instantly, Juan Pablo knew what his project would be about: learning how to invest in the stock market. Having zero experience in the stock market, he knew this would be a great way to develop his personal interest, whilst fulfilling the challenging project. After 8 long months, what was a small seed at first blossomed into the creation of this website.
